    Lauren has been serving as the Managing Director of the San Francisco chapter of GIT since 2014. She oversees the planning, promotion & execution of diversity events with a focus on Mentoring, Recruiting & Skill Building. Some of her achievements include:

    • Organized over 100 diversity events this year alone.
    • Leveraged organic growth strategies to double email database & social reach in less than 1 year.
    • Mentors 12 board members responsible for the planning & execution of all chapter events.
    • Created & Implemented mentoring, recruiting and skill-building programs for women in STEM

     

    Girls in Tech (GIT) is a global non-profit focused on the engagement, education and empowerment of girls and women who are passionate about technology. Adriana Gascoigne founded GIT in 2007 to create a support framework to help women advance their careers in STEM fields. With headquarters in San Francisco and more than 50,000 members located around the globe, GIT relies on volunteer efforts to lead each of the 60 local chapters.
